ALEKS is an excellent complement to any Mathematics
curriculum. In a period of one to two hours, I can orientate you in the effective use of ALEKS with your existing curriculum. During this time the student will work through a tutorial
demonstrating how to enter answers into ALEKS, take an initial assessment of mathematical knowledge, and begin the learning
mode. I will also take parents through the management features of the program. Additional tutorial sessions may be arranged as needed. Some students will learn best through a combination of computer-assisted
instruction and personal instruction. I offer individual and group tutorial sessions. One or two hours a week or every other week may make a significant difference.
I am also willing
to organize Algebra I and Algebra II classes that meet 1 or 2 hours per week. These classes could be completed
over 18 weeks, 36 weeks or the period that best suits you. ALEKS uses a mastery approach and students simply put in the
time needed to earn the desired grade. Let me know if you may be interested.
